Vermicomposting

Join University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Constance McCarthy as she presents “Vermicomposting" This program will be held 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Winnebago County Extension Office, 1040 N 2nd Street, Rockford 61107. There is no cost to attend this program.

Vermicomposting is a process that relies on earthworms and microorganisms to help stabilize active organic materials and convert them to a valuable soil amendment and source of plant nutrients.
