Keeping your wits fit requires more than just doing crossword puzzles or word searches. There is increasing evidence that brain health is directly related to body health. This should come as no surprise since the brain and the body functions interdependently. However, most people think more about keeping their bodies fit or hearts healthy instead of working to maintain a healthy brain. August 28 - Hold That Thought: Explore Strategies for Forgetfulness
Have you ever gone into a room and couldn’t remember why you went in there? Misplaced your keys or cell phone? Forgotten what you were about to say? If you’ve answered “yes,” you are not alone! Everyone forgets things now and again, and this happens throughout life. Memory changes as we age, but forgetfulness is common for people at all stages of life. This workshop will look at the memory process and what researchers say contributes to brain health, as well as strategies for helping with everyday forgetfulness.
