The public is invited to join Logan County Master Gardeners in enhancing their gardening knowledge during Russel Allen Garden Day. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. with registration from 8 to 8:45 a.m. The day is in honor of Russel Allen who was a Logan County Master Gardener program volunteer.

The keynote presentation will be provided by Lee and Anne Niepagen of Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses and Garden Center in Bloomington. They will present New and Exciting Plants and Trends for The Coming Season.

Session topics include: Spring Rose Pruning, Plant Alternatives, Growing Vegetables Isn’t Work-It’s Fun, and Designing a Flower Bed in Your Yard.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged as attendance is limited to 80 people. The registration fee is $12 in advance (before March 15) and $15 at the door. For additional information call 217-732-8289.
