Are you a 4-H member looking to boost your confidence in the show ring? Whether you're new to livestock showmanship or want to sharpen your skills before fair season, this workshop is designed with you in mind!

Ages: 8-14  (all ages welcome—anyone interested is encouraged to join!)
Cost: $5 - exact cash or check made to Christian County Farm Bureau and you can pay the day of the event
 
This hands-on workshop will focus on three species:
  • Sheep
  • Swine
  • Beef Cattle
 
Here’s what you can expect:
  •  Hands-on practice with live animals
  • Step-by-step guidance from experienced showmen and judges
  • Species-specific breakout sessions
  • Tips on grooming, handling, and ring presence
  • Time for Q&A and personal feedback
 
This workshop is a great fit if you:
  • Are currently enrolled in a sheep, goat, swine, or beef project
  • Want to improve your showmanship techniques
  • Are preparing for county or state fair competitions
  • Are new to showing and want to learn the basics
  • Enjoy working with animals and learning from peers
 
Important Notes:
  • Space is limited – register early to secure your spot!
  • Participants should wear closed-toe shoes/boots.
  • We'll have animals available at the event, so there's no need to bring your own. But if you'd like to bring one with you, just let us in the registration!
  • Lunch will be provided.
