All ages are invited to learn more about gardening with the Lee County Master Gardeners. This series will be held the first Tuesday of the month starting through April 2026, with some months offering a youth program at 4 p.m. and, some months, an adult program at 6 p.m. Attend one or all. Free. Register by calling the library at 815-456-2823.

Program 4 (ADULT) 2/3: Victory Gardens— Explore the inspiring history of Victory Gardens—also known as war gardens or food gardens for defense—planted across the United States during World War I and World War II. These homegrown efforts helped supplement food supplies and boost morale during times of national hardship. In this session, you'll learn how these gardens shaped American communities, supported the war effort, and influenced modern gardening practices.
