
All ages are invited to learn more about gardening with the Lee County Master Gardeners. This series will be held the first Tuesday of the month starting September 2 through April 2026, with some months offering a youth program at 4 p.m. and, some months, an adult program at 6 p.m. Register by calling the library at 815-456-2823.

The Iconic monarch butterfly is known for its long-distance migration to Mexico in the fall and its migration back to the US and Canada in the spring. The round-trip distance can be more than 6000 miles! Learn more about the monarch’s life cycle and its connections to milkweed plants and agriculture with hands-on activities.
