All ages are invited to learn more about gardening with the Lee County Master Gardeners. This series will be held the first Tuesday of the month starting through April 2026, with some months offering a youth program at 4 p.m. and, some months, an adult program at 6 p.m. Attend one or all. Free. Register by calling the library at 815-456-2823.
Program 6 (ADULT) 4/7: Hypertufa Pots — Hypertufa planters are lightweight, durable containers made from a blend of Portland cement, water, and materials like perlite, vermiculite, or sand. These rustic-looking pots are perfect for outdoor gardens and creative landscaping. Join the Master Gardeners for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to mix, mold, and cure your very own hypertufa planter. No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity and a willingness to get a little messy!
