Trees are an essential part of Carlinville’s urban landscape, offering shade, evaporative cooling, habitat for local wildlife, and beauty throughout the seasons. This free workshop and community tree‑planting event invites Carlinville residents to learn more about the trees that help shape your town. Participants will explore what makes up Carlinville’s urban forest, gain hands‑on experience planting a tree correctly, and learn how to prune trees properly. The event is open to all community members regardless of skill level or experience. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Every tree in town—not just those in parks—contributes to Carlinville’s urban canopy!
The program is of special interest to arborists, public and private tree care professionals, municipal or county staff, community volunteers, and anyone interested in developing their tree care knowledge.
All necessary supplies will be provided (gloves, safety glasses, shovels, etc.)
