The Crossing Garden Education Series will guide you through a full gardening season -- from starting seeds and nurturing young plants to harvesting big and wrapping things up for the year. Along the way, Master Gardeners will share practical tips, tried-and-true techniques, and a few insider secrets to help your vegetable garden thrive. We'll also dig into some unexpected and unusual crops you can grow alongside your favorite veggies to keep things fresh, fun, and delicious all season long!

Each session will occur on the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. More information about the sessions can be found below.

Understand the variety of seeds available for your gardens.


June 9 - What the Hey!?!
Discover garden surprises like oddly shaped vegetables and unusual varieties, with a fun taste testing opportunity.

July 14 - Produce Storage and Food Safety
Add days to the shelf-life of fresh fruits and veggies. Know how to safely store and prepare foods to prevent foodborne illness.TBD

August 11 - Fresh from the Garden
Get a chance to share your favorite recipes made from fresh produce with taste testing some samples of things you can make.

September 8 - Some Things Just Need Covered Up
Learn how to prepare your garden for winter as well as how to properly store your tools.

October 13 - How Did Your Garden Grow?
Reflect on successes and challenges you faced. What practices did you use at home that you learned from the series?
