And ACTION: Here’s to all you budding film directors, ages 8-18. You have an opportunity to create a 1- to 2-minute film using the theme "Choose Your Path, Discover Your Possibilities!"
PLEASE NOTE: Any film that showcases the following: blood, gore, violence, nudity, drug use, alcohol, weapons, or mistreatment of humans or animals will automatically be disqualified and not judged or shown. NO EXCEPTIONS! Think family-friendly G or PG rating.
You may use an iPhone or Android phone to make your film. Here are a few requirements you may want to consider when making your film:

- Shot in landscape orientation
- No overlays or filters (like a TikTok account handle)
- HD 1080p or greater
- Highest-quality export setting
- 1 to 2 minutes in length
- Every film needs to start with a 10-second title card that has the following information:
- Name of Film
- Child's Name
- County
- School Grade

This event is sponsored by University of Illinois Extension-Unit 1 (Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago); however, it is open to youth ages 8-18. You do not need to be in 4-H to enter the film festival. Cost to enter: $3.00.
Judging will take place in December and January. A viewing of the films will be determined at a later date.
AWARDS: Top 3 winners will receive a director's chair. 4th through 13th place winners will receive a medal.
