Camp Whitetail Hunter Safety Camp is a fun-filled weekend combining a complete hunter safety course with hands-on outdoor learning and classic 4-H camp activities. Participants will earn their Hunter Safety Certificate while enjoying fishing, hiking, a campfire, and time to relax with family at 4-H Memorial Camp. It’s an educational, hands-on experience designed to build outdoor skills, confidence, and lasting memories.
- October 23 - 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm | Early arrivals (optional**)
- October 24 - 9:15 am to 8:00 pm | Required for course
- October 25 - 9:15 am to 3:30 pm | Required for course
This hunter safety course will offer in the field tree stand safety, live fire in air rifle and shotgun, as well as white-tail deer hunting program and wild turkey hunting program. Guests are welcome to arrive Friday evening to enjoy a relaxing evening at 4-H Memorial Camp with fishing, boating, hiking, and campfire. If weather is unfavorable there will be a warm fireplace in the dining hall. Lodging will be in log cabins in assignments of 2-10 people per cabin. Bedding will not be provided.
Youth must be 10 years old to participate
All three options include meals on Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday for breakfast and lunch
- Option 1 - $58 per person with no lodging
- Option 2 - $70 per person with lodging Saturday only
- Option 3 - $90 per person with lodging Friday and Saturday
**Friday evening is optional and requires an additional fee.
