Tashara Grandys

Tashara Grandys is an educator passionate about improving food systems and increasing health literacy in Winnebago, Stephenson, and Jo Daviess Counties. She provides community-centered nutrition education to help individuals build practical skills and make informed choices, while working to strengthen the systems that connect people to food. Her work focuses on partnering with local organizations to improve access to healthy food by supporting policy changes, strengthening community programs and systems, and providing nutrition education to individuals and communities impacted by these efforts.

She is a strong advocate for making knowledge accessible to all and prioritizes listening to community members to support ideas and initiatives that reflect their needs. Tashara holds a master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northern Illinois University and is a Licensed Registered Dietitian. She is committed to strengthening food systems and expanding access to healthy food and nutrition knowledge, while empowering communities to lead sustainable, health-focused change
