Sara Bertels

Sara Irene joined our SNAP-Ed team to serve Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties, bringing her passion for public health and recent Public Health degree from Eastern Illinois University (EIU). With a strong interest in food and nutrition education, Sara Irene is dedicated to supporting SNAP-Ed programs by working with eligible families to promote nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and budgeting skills. SNAP-Ed programming provides educational services, information and skills that empower families to make positive changes for their health.
