Taylorville, Ill. – Amanda Cole, Extension county director, is pleased to introduce Amanda Cunningham, who has joined Illinois Extension as a 4-H youth development program coordinator serving Christian County in Taylorville. She will coordinate 4-H activities throughout Christian County, such as the 4-H general and livestock shows at the Christian County Agricultural Fair, presenting various workshops and working with area youth and volunteers.
A native of Ramsey, Amanda was an active FFA member in high school, which furthered her passion for the agriculture industry. She attended Lake Land College, where she received her associate degree in ag business, then attended Greenville University, earning her bachelor's in business management. Before accepting her current position, Amanda worked in the banking industry.
Cunningham stated, "I am excited to be a part of Extension and thrilled to return to my passion for agriculture. There is so much 4-H has to offer, and I'm looking forward to familiarizing myself with the program and being a part of it." In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, fishing, and hunting.
Amanda will be based in Taylorville at the Christian County office and can be reached at cunn2014@illinois.edu.
