Hands-on Fun Awaits Kids at Winnebago County 4-H Project Workshop Day

Rockford, IL – University of Illinois Extension is hosting its annual Winnebago County 4-H Project Workshop Day on Saturday, March 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Church in Rockton. Project Workshop Day is a 3-hour event designed to give area youth ages 5 to 18 a chance to explore the many project areas available through the 4-H program.  This event is open to all area youth, regardless of 4-H membership.  Grab a friend and get registered today!

Youth between the ages of 8-18 are invited to attend and experience three hands-on sessions where they can learn how to assemble a poster project and present in front of a judge, create a wet-felted bar of soap, make a survival bracelet, experience and learn about Germany though our Passport to the World project, build a beginning level rocket, learn about preparing your poultry or rabbits for showing, and much more. The cost is $3 per participant.  

Registration deadline for Winnebago County 4-H Project Workshop Day is March 6, 2022. The sessions have size limitations, so don’t delay and register soon.  COVID safety guidelines will be followed.
