Holiday Centerpieces

Gather your friends for an afternoon of fun as the University of Illinois Extension hosts “Holiday Centerpieces”. This program is being held on Thursday, December 19 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Jo Daviess County Extension Office, 204 Vine Street, Elizabeth, IL 61028. There will be a $30 charge to attend, and attendees will leave with two projects to take home with them. Pre-registration is required by December 14. To register or for more information visit us online or call us at 815-858-2273.

Participants will complete two make-and-take projects: a Mason Jar Oil Candle and a Holiday Centerpiece using fresh greens and flowers —each of these projects will make beautiful stand-alone items to give or keep, but they also pair well together for a gorgeous holiday display for your dining table.

The Mason Jar Oil Candle is a combination of beautiful pinecones, evergreen sprigs, cinnamon sticks and essential oils—perfect for illuminating your home during the dark and cold winter months.

With the Holiday Centerpiece, participants will learn the basic elements of floral design and create a stunning centerpiece using fresh evergreens, fresh flowers, novelties, and ribbon.

University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need reasonable accommodations to participate in this program, please call 815-858-2273.
