Are you ready to step into leadership but unsure where to begin? Join us on Saturday, November 23, 2024, for the Youth Leadership Conference: Youth in Action, hosted by the University of Illinois Extension at the Freeport Public Library at 100 E. Douglas Street, Freeport, Illinois.

From 10:00 AM to 2:45 PM, hear inspiring stories from youth who have successfully embarked on their leadership journeys. Discover how a young entrepreneur launched a popcorn business, learn about another youth’s initiative to combat plastic pollution and protect sea turtles, and learn how a peer started a beekeeping business. These young leaders will share their experiences, challenges, and how they turned their ideas into impactful ventures.

“Youth will learn about the successes of their peers, which we hope will inspire them to step out into leadership roles,” said Kelly Lafferty, 4-H Youth Development Educator for University of Illinois Extension. “To support our community, we’ll also organize a service project, with items created during the event donated to a local animal shelter.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights, connect with other young leaders, and make a difference in your community. Register now to secure your spot!
