LINCOLN, Ill. – University of Illinois Extension in Logan, Menard, and Sangamon counties is excited to announce the launch of an online needs assessment survey aimed at gathering valuable input from the public regarding agricultural programs and educational opportunities. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance and tailor our services to better meet our community's needs.

The survey seeks to collect feedback from various stakeholders, including farmers and other community members. The insights gained will play a crucial role in shaping future programs and ensuring that Illinois Extension continues to provide relevant and impactful resources. The survey will contain questions regarding topics to cover in programs, ways stakeholders want to receive information from Illinois Extension, and ideas for research at the research plot in Hartsburg.

“We believe that the best way to serve our community is by listening to their needs and preferences,” said Reagen Tibbs, commercial agriculture educator serving Logan, Menard, and Sangamon counties. “This survey will help us understand the challenges and opportunities faced by our stakeholders and allow us to develop programs that truly make a difference.”

The survey is available online and can be accessed at https://go.illinois.edu/2024NeedsAssessment. All responses will be kept confidential. We encourage everyone to participate and share their thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create a stronger, more resilient agricultural community.

For more information, please contact Reagen Tibbs by email at rgtibbs@illinois.edu or by calling the Logan County Extension office at (217)732-8289.
