JERSEYVILLE, Ill. – Local business, Jersey State Bank was nominated by Jersey County Extension for the 2021 Community Partner Award. Jersey State Bank was selected for their exemplary service to University of Illinois Extension. Throughout the years they have continued to be a strong supporter of the local 4-H program. “In 2020, Jersey State Bank awarded Jersey County 4-H with a grant to promote youth development through 4-H in the Classroom. 4-H in the Classroom is an innovative program that highlights multiple project areas within 4-H. The program is currently delivered in the local school district. Jersey State Bank also donates annually to support the summer 4-H shows and fair auction,” said Jessica Jaffry, Jersey County 4-H youth development program coordinator.

“We are incredibly grateful in Extension for amazing community partners like Jersey State Bank. They help us make a lifelong impact in the lives of the youth and the people of Jersey County through financial support, providing space for workshops, and promoting our research-based programs. Without them, we couldn’t do what we do,” said Lisa Peterson, Extension acting county director.
