MONTICELLO – Dewitt, Macon and Piatt County 4-H held its awards celebration October 26 at the 4-H Memorial Camp in Allerton Park. 4-H awards recognize members who excel in their 4-H year based on their involvement with projects, programs, other community activities and events, and participation in 4-H. Several Piatt County 4-H members were recognized for their accomplishments in record keeping, club leadership, performance in national competition, personal leadership and length of membership.

Adults were also recognized for their dedication to Piatt County 4-H. Length of service, leader of the year, alumni awards, family spirit and friend of 4-H awards were given to deserving individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to 4-H.

“I feel the 4-H Achievement Awards gives recognition to those 4-H members that have taken 4-H to the next level of involvement,” states Jan Wenke, Piatt County Extension Program Coordination, Youth and Development.

“These 4-H members need to be recognized. Bringing Achievement Awards Night back to Piatt County 4-H members allows a positive showcase of members and adult volunteers for their year of hard work.”
