Food pantries and shelters in 15 Southern Illinois counties will receive $100,000 to help with relief from the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The funds will be distributed both in person and with checks being cut and mailed at 4 p.m. Friday (April 10).
The $100,000 is being distributed by the Southern Illinois Community Foundation (SICF) and the United Way of Southern Illinois. SICF is an umbrella organization overseeing more than 60 charitable funds in the 17 southernmost counties of Illinois.
