Upcoming Class Offers Winter Decorating Tips

Do you enjoy gardening in containers? Are you disappointed when you have to put these containers away for the winter? If so, we have a class for you! Join the University of Illinois Extension and the Freeport Park District for “Evergreen Porch Pots” on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Krape Park Community Building.

In this class, you will learn tips and tricks to turn your container gardens into eye-appealing winter decorations. As part of the class, participants will get to make a decorative porch pot to take home with them; all supplies are provided. Registration is required to attend and can be completed here or by calling the U of I Extension at (815) 235-4125. Registration cost is $30.
