Workshop Series to Focus on Brain Health

When you think about health, wellness, and fitness, most likely you will think about your physical health, exercise, or nutrition.  It is certainly important to take care of our bodies physically as we get older.  However, as we age, it is equally important to consider the health and fitness of our brain.  You are never too young or old to start practicing brain “fitness.”

The University of Illinois Extension will offer a three-part series, “Brain Health:  It’s a No Brainer!”, at the Savanna Public Library, 326 Third Street, Savanna.   The sessions of the series will be held on Fridays, October 25, November 1, and November 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  This interactive series is designed to understand the brain as one matures and is full of tips and strategies to improve and maintain brain function.  Contributors to brain health as well as activities to challenge the brain will be discussed.

The workshop is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.  Register by October 22 at the library, by calling 815.632.3611, or online at go.illinois.edu/SavannaBrainHealth. If you need reasonable accommodations to participate in this program, please call the Extension office at 815-632-3611 by October 22.
