Katie Abell joined the Extension team in November 2024 and serves as the Marketing Program Coordinator for Carroll, Lee and Whiteside counties. She was a 10-year member of 4-H and understands the importance of Extension programs for local communities. In her role, Katie will create content on Extension’s impact as well as inform key audiences of opportunities that may be beneficial to them. 

Katie graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and leadership in 2021. She previously worked for an independent garden center as their marketing and office assistant. She enjoys baking, crafting and gardening.
