Kim Reese serves as a SNAP-Ed community outreach worker, serving in Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties, and has a deep passion for nutrition, health, and wellness education. Growing up in Brooklyn NY, Kim experienced firsthand the impact of food and public assistance programs, inspiring her to give back as a community health worker in the East St. Louis area.

Kim’s background is rich in service and dedication. She began her military career in the U.S. Air Force in August 1991, serving overseas in Turkey, Afghanistan, and Central and South America before retiring from Scott Air Force Base in October 2019. Following her retirement, she pursued her studies in dietetics at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and became a registered dietitian nutritionist in July 2023. In her role, Kim aims to increase access to nutrition education and is dedicated to making these resources accessible to individuals of all ages, especially in underserved communities.
