Adams County 4-H Foundation: Igniting Potential and Honoring Excellence
The 4-H Foundation supports 4-H members with 4-H project expenses, county and club workshops, county awards, and registration fees for state and national 4-H events.

Foundation Annual Awards
- Adams County Outstanding 4-H Member of the Year Award
- Glen Tenhouse Leadership Memorial Award
- I Dare You Award: This award and book is presented in memory of former 4-H leader Ruby Crow and recognizes youth ages 15-18 who show potential leadership, scholarship and character through club leader nomination and submission of a short essay.
- John Alison Memorial: This fund was established in 1986 to award outstanding project work in sheep, and outstanding project work in dairy. Awards are based on results from Adams County 4-H Fair projects and/or showmanship. John Alison was a livestock farmer and an outstanding 4-H livestock judge from Mendon who graduated from University of Illinois.
- Betty Venvertloh Memorial: This fund was established in 2016 and is awarded annually to the Top 1st year Construction project in Clothing & Textiles at the Adams County 4-H Fair. The recipient completes an application for a sewing workshop, event, class, or supplies. Betty was a 4-H leader, avid seamstress, and quilter.
- Outstanding Bronze Clover Award
- Outstanding Silver Clover Award
- Outstanding Gold Clover Award
Foundation Scholarships
- Funding Application: These awards provide assistance for clubs and individuals, community service, contests, international opportunities, project development, and teen leadership.

Ways to Donate to Foundation
- Cash or check can be dropped off or mailed to the Adams County Extension office. Please find the address below. Checks may be made out to "Adams County 4-H Foundation."
