Join Master Naturalist, Chandler Womack on Saturday, February 22nd at 1:00 PM and see what Winter has made clear as the woods are exposed in this frigid season. We will look at the effects of animals, insects, fungi, light, and water on the landscape. Winter pulls back the green veil that shrouds the supporting structures of the woods and can illuminate to us what its inhabitants have been up to through the green seasons.

There will be times of stopping to talk about features of the forest, so please dress accordingly, and if warmer, please consider mud attire and walking sticks/poles as trails can be a bit squishy at times.

Please meet at the Oak Ridge Trail parking lot on the Southside of the Homer Lake Rd, located before you get to the Salt Fork Center parking area.
