Champaign County Master Gardeners present an online Zoom program, Children's Intro to Bees, on Sat., May 23 at 10 a.m.  Master Gardener Janet Townsend will teach about:

• Bee anatomy and life cycle
• How to identify different types of bees
• Differences in bee habitats

After the lesson, Master Gardener Nancy Crawford will lead a bee-related craft activity. 

Seats are limited.  Register by Thurs., May 14.  For households with multiple children participating, please register each child individually.    

Activity packs (including craft supplies and an activity book) will be mailed to home addresses on Fri., May 15.  You will need 1 cardboard toilet paper roll to complete the craft with us on Sat., May 23.

The cost of the program is $5 which will cover the cost of the activity packs and mailing.

This course is recommended for children ages 4 - 8.  Children will need assistance to connect to the program and help with putting the craft together.
