Macon County 4-H is hosting a Virtual Food Challenge and invites kids and families to use their cooking or baking skills to create a one-of-a-kind dish using a list of secret ingredients. Dishes will be judged on use of the secret ingredients, presentation, and creativity.

The deadline to submit your entry is Saturday, December 12 by 9:00pm. You will receive the list of secret ingredients, judging requirements, and how to enter your submission for judging upon registration. Or if you choose, pre-packaged kits of the secret ingredients will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for $10. Kit pick up will be at the Macon County Extension office the week prior to the event. Please note the kits will only contain non-perishable items for health and safety concerns. Cooking utensils will not be provided.

This program is intended for anyone who loves to cook and spend time with their family and is designed to be completed whenever it fits in their schedule. All families, regardless of 4-H membership, are encouraged to participate.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact Olivia at owarren@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your needs, when possible.
