Winter Sowing

 

Join University of Illinois Extension and Champaign County Master Gardeners for "Winter Sowing: Getting Back to the Garden in January and February" on Tues., Jan. 25, 2022 at 7 p.m. via Zoom or Phone Call-In. 

Are you ready to get back to gardening? Winter sowing allows you to start your outdoor gardening in the heart of winter! Using small, inexpensive, DIY greenhouses, you can begin planting your garden outdoors in January and February. Join Master Gardener Karen Pollard as she explains and demonstrates winter sowing. Take advantage of this simple growing method to get a head start on growing annuals, vegetables, and native plants – especially those that can be expensive or difficult to find at nurseries – without costly equipment.
