  • Teams should consist of 3-5 students in grades 3-12. You do not need to be in 4-H to participate.
  • Each team will be provided with ingredients that must be used in their recipe.  There will also be a “pantry” with optional ingredients.  Teams are challenged with being creative and developing their own recipe with the ingredients provided. Teams will be notified prior to the contest of one key ingredient to be provided.
  •  A list of the necessary equipment will be provided to the teams prior to the event.  Some items will be provided.
  • Resource materials will be provided to the team prior to the event.  Teams may be asked general questions about “MyPlate” nutritional info and food preparation.  Judging will also include food appearance and quality and presentation skills of the group.
  • The top winning teams will win prizes!
  • Depending on interest, there may be a future challenge with Edgar County for local winners to advance on to.
