Weldon Springs State Park

Participants will learn how to identify trees by more than just leaves. Twig, bud, and bark characteristics will be discussed. May also examine invasive species, pruning procedures, and ways to improve tree health.

Please wear appropriate attire for light hiking. Water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellent recommended.

Friday, October 7 | 1 - 3 pm
Piatt County Forest Preserve Park, 700 E. Wilson St., Bement, IL

Saturday, October 8 | 9 - 11 am
Weldon Springs State Park, 4734 Weldon Springs Rd., Clinton, IL. Please meet at the Lakeview Hill Picnic Area.
