Do you love taking photos and being in nature?  If so, we'll teach you how to "create images" that tell a story in this level 1 photography program.  Already know the basics?  Join us as a Teen or Volunteer Teacher!!!

In collaboration with Bourbonnais Township Park District, this fall, youth age 12-18 (or younger with guardian attendance and assistance) can participate in a fun and engaging photography program at the beautiful Willowhaven Nature Park in Kankakee, part of Bourbonnais Township Park District.

Date, time, and location - In the event of rain, the program will move to Willowhaven.  Exact topics subject to change pending participant interest and time.  Locations within Bourbonnais Park District subject to change.
 

• Wednesday, 9/6/23, 5:30-7:30 PM, Perry Park Farm Farmstead to include the farm animals!
  • Teen Teachers and Adult Teachers arrive at 5:30 PM.
  • Youth participants arrive at 6:15 PM
• Wednesday, 10/4/23, 5:30-7:30 PM,  Perry Park Farm prairies, ponds, and trails
  • Teen Teachers and Adult Teachers arrive at 5:30 PM.
  • Youth participants arrive at 6:15 PM
• Wednesday, 10/18/23, 5:30-7:30 PM, Willowhaven Park
  • Teen Teachers and Adult Teachers arrive at 5:30 PM.
  • Youth participants arrive at 6:15 PM
• Thursday, 10/26/23, 5:30-7:30 PM - Culminating Event to include Photo Gallery Showcase
  • Everyone arrives at 5:30 PM.

If participants are unable to make one or more of the dates, they can request a take-home packet for most of the activities.  Just let us know as soon as possible.
