Step into the world of culinary exploration with "Cooking with Chemistry"! This engaging program is designed to ignite a passion for both cooking and science among youth. Through interactive, hands-on activities, participants will uncover the fascinating science behind the art of cooking. From understanding the chemical reactions that occur during food preparation to experimenting with ingredients to create delicious dishes, "Cooking with Chemistry" offers a unique blend of education and fun. Join us for an unforgettable journey where every recipe is a lesson and every meal is a celebration of science!

Open to youth 4th through 8th grade, the event will span over six sessions, taking place from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Camargo Township Library 14 N Main St, Villa Grove, IL 61956. Sessions will take place on the following dates: May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5, and June 12. The fifth session held on June 12, will be followed up that same day with a potluck. Led by Extension Staff, Andrea McNeil and Rachel Stenger, participants will explore the intricate connections between food and science.
