Do you enjoy gardening in containers? Are you disappointed when you have to put these containers away for the winter? If so, we have the class for you!  In this class, you will learn tips and tricks to turn your container gardens into eye-appealing winter decorations. As part of the class, participants will use fresh evergreens and other festive items to make a decorative porch pot to take home with them. 
 

Join U of I Extension Master Gardeners Brenda Smith and Martha Ebner on Saturday, December 7, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for this hands-on workshop. You will create your Evergreen Porch Pot using fresh greens, ribbons, and other decorations. This year's Hort for the Holidays will take place at the Winnebago County Extension office at 1040 N 2nd Street, Rockford. There is a $30 fee to attend, and all supplies you need are provided.  

If you would like to bring additional items to add to your porch pot, please feel free to do so. Please bring your garden snips and gloves; we will work with fresh greens. There will be refreshments provided. So gather your besties and join us to have fun and be creative.
