Container Gardening with Vegetables

Macoupin County Extension is hosting a container gardening workshop led by Andrew Holsinger, horticulture educator. 

Participants will have the opportunity to learn the art and science of container gardening with vegetables, a technique that can maximize space, improve soil quality, and enhance vegetable yield. The workshop will cover various container gardening methods, including selecting the right containers, soil preparation, and plant care, providing attendees with hands-on experience and practical knowledge.

Topics covered will include:
• Introduction to Container Gardening
• Choosing the Right Containers and Soil
• Planting Techniques and Tools
• Care and Maintenance of Container Vegetables

Participants will create a small vegetable container to take home and enjoy!
