Container gardens are a great option for beginner gardeners, those without a big space to garden, and those with challenging soil conditions. We’ll explore different types of container gardens during this workshop. Held at an Illinois Extension food donation garden, this workshop will include a tour of the garden, which uses raised beds of various materials. We’ll discuss raised beds, various types of pots, and vertical gardens.
Participants will have the opportunity to create container gardens planted with vegetables, fruits, or native flowers to take home after the workshop. This workshop is free and open to the public. Space is limited – RSVP required by calling 618-524-2270. This workshop is designed for adults but youth are welcome to attend.
