Have you ever wanted to make plantable paper? Plantable paper, which can be made into a bookmark, ornament, or other keepsake, can then be planted in the ground to grow flowers. Join us for a Plantable Paper Seed Lab. We’ll explore plants native to Illinois and the wildlife they support. Then let your creativity soar as we make our own seed paper with the seeds from those plants. When you leave, plant your seed paper creation and grow back your memories from our journey together.
This free youth program is being offered through a partnership between University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Space is limited – please register by calling Sydney Waters at the Wetlands Center at 618-657-2064.
