Micaiah Owens serves the communities of Grundy County as the 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator. In this role Micaiah coordinates events, oversees club management, enrollment, and 4-H fair and exhibitions.
Micaiah is a Morris resident with marked experience with 4-H and local communities. A 4-H and FFA alumna from Iroquois County, Micaiah brings a background rooted in agriculture and a strong foundation in positive youth development. Previously interning for FS Grain and CHS Newark, as well as working directly with clients at State Farm, she brings a wealth of experience.
In her role with Extension, Micaiah looks forward to working in the community and making new connections.
Outside of her work with Extension, Micaiah enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, two cats, two bearded dragons, two snakes, bunny, and many fish. She also enjoys helping out on the farm, cooking and baking, and is still an active 4-H Cloverbud Club Leader where she enjoys mentoring 4-H members and helping with their projects.
