Micaiah Owens serves the communities of Grundy County as the Office Support Assistant. Supporting Extension’s team of talented educators and staff, Micaiah works across program areas and directly with the public to extend knowledge from University of Illinois to those who live in Grundy County.
Micaiah is a Morris resident with marked experience with 4-H and local communities. A 4-H and FFA alumna from Iroquois County, Micaiah brings a background rooted in agriculture and a strong foundation in office administration. Previously interning for FS Grain and CHS Newark, as well as working directly with clients at State Farm, she brings a wealth of experience in office administration.
In her role with Extension, Micaiah looks forward to working in the community and making new connections.
Outside of her work with Extension, Micaiah enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, two cats, two bearded dragons, two snakes, bunny, and many fish. She also enjoys helping out on the farm, cooking and baking, and is still an active 4-H Cloverbud Club Leader where she enjoys mentoring 4-H members and helping with their projects.
