Emma Flack graduated from the University of Illinois in the spring of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Leadership, Education, and Communication with a double minor in Animal Sciences and Horticulture. She began working with extension in the fall of 2022 as the Knox County 4-H Program Coordinator. Emma has been involved in 4-H for more than ¾ of her life, beginning as a club member in 2007 and eventually leading to her post-college career. Emma exhibited Angus cattle alongside her family at the county, state, and national levels. While building connections in the livestock industry, Emma discovered amazing opportunities through 4-H.

In her current role, Emma focuses on strengthening 4-H clubs in Knox County, collaborating with volunteers to ensure 4-H members and their families maximize their experiences. She believes that 4-H empowers youth to develop into well-rounded, resilient, and hardworking individuals. Although 4-H is primarily youth-oriented, Emma recognizes the benefits of continued engagement as an adult. Through workshops, reviewing project manuals, or listening to 4-H members’ experiences, Emma is inspired to continue her own learning and development to become a more knowledgeable individual.  Emma’s commitment to growth, development, and positive experiences extends to individuals of all ages within the 4-H community.
