Barb Curry has been a Community Worker with the Illinois Nutrition Education Program (INEP) in Stephenson County since October of 1995.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition from Illinois State University and is certified in Food Service Sanitation.  

INEP is a part of the University of Illinios Extension and offers programming opportunities throughout Illinois. Barb partners with a diverse group of community organizations in Stephenson County to help limited income households focus on healthful diets and physical activity.

We focus on reaching participants in their communities. Our evidence based, learned-centered education and skill building help us create a welcoming environment in our classes. With our interactive displays and online resources, we provide knowledge and teach the skills necessary to help families make healthier meals, spend food budgets effectively, prepare and store food safely and make healthy living a natural part of their day.
