4-H Virtual Get Your Mind "Write"

DECATUR, Ill.— We all keep hearing how important it is to stay healthy and keep our bodies active during this time of uncertainty. But what about our minds? Many turn to creative outlets to cope with difficult situations, stress, and anxiety so Macon County 4-H is offering Get Your Mind "Write", a free four-week virtual creative writing workshop during May.

Get Your Mind "Write" workshop sessions will be 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. May 5, 12, 19 and 26 for students ages 8-18. Participants will learn how to use writing as a creative outlet to stay mindful and well during tough times through fun writing challenges and even writing their own novel.

Each workshop session will be held virtually via Zoom. A link will be sent to participants upon registration. Register online by May 4.

The 4-H program is provided through University of Illinois Extension and is open to youth ages 8 to 18. Youth learn skills for living by participating in individual or group learning experiences related to more than 200 project areas. More information about Extension and 4-H is available at  Macon County 4-H on Facebook and Instagram.
