4-H’ers to compete in Public Speaking Contest in Sterling

 

STERLING, Ill-Carroll, Lee, and Whiteside County 4-H’ers will gather together on Saturday, April 4 to give public speeches at Bethel Reformed Church in Sterling. 4-H’ers have several different types of speeches to choose from, including, Formal Speech, Illustrated Speech, Original Works, or Oral Interpretation. 4-H’ers may work individually or as a 2-person team.

 

All 4-H’ers in Carroll, Lee, and Whiteside Counties can sign up to participate in the contest. They will need to preregister with their office. The public is welcome to attend and watch the competition at Bethel Reformed Church in Sterling on April 4 at 10am.  4-H’ers chosen to advance to state will compete at the State Fair in August.
