Calling all Cloverbuds! | Join the Little Roots Gardening Program

We are excited to offer our Cloverbud-aged kids their very own special program again- Little Roots!  Registration closes March 1st and pick up (and activity) is May 6th.  This is a work-at-home program with some added bonus days if you are available- you do not have to attend the extra days to register and receive the kits.  Here is the info:

Join us for a fun summer project to excite your kids about gardening!  The Little Roots Gardening Calendar will guide you and your Cloverbud-age child in growing 7 different plants, seed to harvest, by engaging in weekly activities like:

  • Observing the world around you
  • Researching basic horticulture terms
  • Caring for your plants

Seeds/ Plants include:  sunflower, zinnia, radish, tomato, pepper, pumpkin, basil

Kit pick up & first activity is on May 6th from 4:00-5:00 pm at the Winnebago County Extension Office, 1040 North Second St, Rockford.  The cost for this program is $8.  This program is for any youth ages 5-7.  You do not have to be in 4-H to join.  Registration closes on March 1st.  Extra kits will not be available after the order is placed on March 3rd.
