Dewitt county 4-H volunteer receives Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame award

CLINTON, Ill.— Megan Barth, Clinton, Ill., received the Illinois Foundation 4-H Hall of Fame Award during a virtual ceremony on Aug. 18. This year, the Foundation recognized 87 individuals for their dedication to 4-H, the University of Illinois Extension youth development program.

Megan was a nine-year 4-H member and has been a co-leader for the Salt Creek Clovers for seven years. She has served on the DeWitt County Foundation for the past 12 years and has been the Communications Fair Superintendent for the past four years. Megan also served four years on the Unit Extension Council.

“Megan is always willing to lend a hand when asked and is always happy to do so,” says 4-H Program Coordinator Lindsey Burden. “She has been an invaluable asset to our DeWitt County 4-H, and we appreciate everything she does for our program and members!”

Illinois 4-H programs reach nearly 200,000 youth each year through 4-H clubs, camps, educational programs, workshops, and conferences held in communities, schools, parks, and homes across Illinois. In total, more than 15,000 volunteers fill key leadership and mentoring roles.
