JONESBORO, Ill. — Illinois Extension is excited to welcome families to the sixth annual Pumpkin Extravaganza, an afternoon celebrating all things pumpkins, on Monday, October 12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial Picnic Grounds in Jonesboro, Illinois.
Families can visit stations staffed by community organizations and Extension volunteers to learn about pumpkins, taste pumpkin treats, make pumpkin crafts and play games. This event celebrates Illinois as the top pumpkin-producing state.
Activities include trail barrel rides, pumpkin pie in a bag, pumpkin decorating, crafts, sink or float, and more! Don’t forget to read Pumpkin Magic by Ed Masessa, offered as a Story Walk by Stinson Memorial Library.
