Join Illinois Extension as they invite Drew Groezinger of Clara Joyce Flowers in Stockton, IL to talk about growing garlic. The program will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25 at the Jo Daviess County Extension Office, 204 Vine St., Elizabeth, IL. There will be a $5 fee to attend the program and pre-registration is requested by Monday, September 23. This class will be focused on beginner garlic growers. Drew will cover the basics of growing garlic in our region and how to be successful at it. Then, he will talk about variety selection, plant care and feeding, as well as harvesting and storage tips. Drew will also be able to share some tips and tricks he has learned throughout his years of growing garlic that have helped him become successful.
