The University of Illinois Extension is excited to announce that the first edition of their “Grower Spotlight” webinar series will be held on Tuesday April 14th, 2020 from 9:00AM-10:30AM. This webinar series serves as a platform for our local producers and other growers and agribusiness professionals to come together to discuss agriculture.
This edition of University of Illinois Extension’s “Grower Spotlight” will be moderated by Phillip Alberti (University of Illinois Extension) and will feature Rock River Labs (Dustin Sawyer and Scott Fleming). Rock River Laboratory, Inc, and their spinoff cannabis testing company, Pride Analytics and Consulting, have been serving the laboratory needs of the agricultural community for more than 40 years. In 2019 they were the highest-volume hemp testing lab in Wisconsin with more than 3,500 samples processed. The laboratory and agricultural experience that they've brought to the hemp industry has allowed their leadership team to take an active role in steering the industry by assisting in standardization of testing procedures within the hemp industry and helping to ensure that future hemp legislation in the state has a firm scientific footing. In this Grower Spotlight, they will share the trends from the data collected in 2019 and take your questions about what to expect from testing labs in 2020 and beyond.
Throughout the educational program, participants will be allowed to contribute to a live Q and A with our guests. The webinar invitation and link to the production video will be sent via email following registration for the program. Those interested in attending the workshop may register online at https://go.illinois.edu/GrowerSpotlight .
There is no cost for this program, but registrations are limited so register now to secure a spot in the program and the chance to ask questions. Both the production video and webinar will be posted online at go.illinois.edu/hemp shortly following the program. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this program, please contact the Extension office, early requests are strongly encouraged to allow enough time for meeting your access needs.
