LANARK, Ill. - University of Illinois Extension is pleased to announce its partnership with the Lanark Farmers Market to present the inaugural session of "Learning in Lawnchairs," a monthly educational series aimed at enriching gardening enthusiasts' knowledge and skills. The first session will take place on May 21 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Master Gardener Tent.
"Learning in Lawnchairs" offers a unique opportunity for individuals to engage in hands-on learning experiences while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Lanark Farmers Market. Each month, attendees will have the chance to delve into various gardening topics led by expert educators from Illinois Extension.
The May session will focus on the captivating world of gourds. Participants will discover the effortless cultivation of gourd varieties right in their own backyard and learn the secrets to nurturing these versatile plants. Whether for culinary purposes or home décor projects, gourds add a touch of natural charm to any environment.
No registration is required for this event. Participants are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and join us for an enriching afternoon of learning and networking.
