JERSEYVILLE, Ill. – Local staff at University of Illinois Extension of Jersey County nominated JCH Wellness Center as a 2023 Community Partner. The wellness center was selected for its continued support of Extension programs. They continuously let us partner with them and use their facility to teach research-based health information. Their staff also help with our 4-H programs by teaching youth development to participants. “JCH Wellness Center has been a phenomenal partner over the last ten years in helping to provide a space for the public to learn health and nutrition. We are incredibly grateful and love that they share a common goal of making the Jersey County community healthier,” said Lisa Peterson, Extension nutrition and wellness educator.
University of Illinois Extension serving Christian, Jersey, Macoupin, and Montgomery counties are exceptionally proud to be able to provide this award to JCH Wellness Center and to thank them for their service to Extension. “Illinois Extension relies on strong community partnerships in all aspects of our work. From providing facilities or volunteers to assist with programming to offering financial support or exposure to new audiences, Extension staff and volunteers are grateful and appreciative of each of our community partners and the support they provide,” said Sara Marten, Extension county director.
